HAUTE DADS

Double Mohawk

by Nicole Nadeau

"For me all black always works. When dressing up I always go with a clean white shirt with a dark tie, simple and classic. The longshirt is my current staple, I have a few in black and one white one, I like wearing them with a suit too. My wife has a background in design, so we go pick out fabric at Mood and she makes them for me. Winston has a nice "little" wardrobe. We really like Nununu baby clothes, they have a great fit. It's not easy to find good "black" baby clothes. We usually have luck at American Apparel Kids, we also like Zara Kids and Baby Gap. I have already started Winston's sneaker collection, ranging from Ralph Lauren Baby to Baby Converse. Winston is about six months old, and I am really enjoying this stage in his life."

SCOTT BRASHER A custom made longshirt made by his wife, Converse sneakers, Oliver Peoples sunglasses // WINSTON Baby GAP top, Zara kids drop crotch pants

Besides Scott's family, his main focus is on fashion photography and video projects. The majority of his current work is shooting streetstyle photography, love it! Keep an eye out, Scott shoots all over NYC.  Check out his instagram @scottbrasher

Spring is in the air

by Nicole Nadeau

"I used to only wear vintage clothes because I thought contemporary designers didn't pay enough attention to the comforts, style and swagger of the modern man. Certainly not like they do for the ladies. Designers of yesteryears had more discerning senses of detail, form and choices of fabrics.  However, in recent years, designers have stepped their game up considerably, and I've been finding myself pleasantly surprised at what is offered for the urban man. I can combine vintage and modern looks, and so long as I can drop kick a buster for looking at my daughter funny, and still feel classy drinking an espresso in what I'm wearing, it's all gravy...And Chloé, well she loves patterns and anything that moves when she spins around."  Chloé can be seen as a model for Mara Hoffman's new kid's apparel.

Daud Sturdivant Vintage western shirt, Ralph Lauren espadrilles, Juma pants, SEE shades // Chloé head to toe American Apparel.

Daud's music alias is under the name Yungtouch, & his stylings can be described as Tropical House or Trap Tropics, and Lo-fi Rapso. He has always been very submersed in percussion, currently drawing influences from Soca, Jùjú and Soweto styles. A new project he recently co-created is a production duo with a friend, Josh Hoisington, named "Tournament".  Tournament produces for artists and vocalists as well as commercial work for licensing.  Daud's favorite "go -to's" for listening pleasure, currently are, Cashmere Cat, Run the Jewels (El-P and Killer Mike), Future Islands, Onra, Dyro and Hudson Mohawke.
